We’re usually fairly sneery about any so-called national or international days celebrating things. World Cheese On Toast Day or International Dog Grooming Day, anyone? But World Gin Day (on Saturday June 15th) may have caused our stance on the matter to shift slightly. Yes, a whole 24 hours dedicated to extolling the many virtues of one of our favourite spirits. Of course, we’re great fans of the old staple – gin served with tonic and a generous slice of lemon or lime – but if you’re looking for something a little different, multi award-winning brand Bulldog Gin have come up with some slightly less calorie-laden cocktail recipes. The ‘defiantly delicious’ British gin is made with twelve rare botanicals including coriander, white poppy, lavender and lotus leaves, and we can attest that it’s a marvellously aromatic blend. Cheers!
