Subscription boxes. We know what you’re thinking – not ANOTHER beauty subscription box, enough already, we’re over it! But wait, because Trill Farm’s seasonal boxes of treats are quite, quite different. Forget everything you thought you knew about subscription boxes, this is like Christmas and your birthday all rolled into one.
Set in the rolling hills of east Devon, Trill Farm is a 300 acre mixed organic farm which grows and makes a huge range of its own products – from natural skincare and bodycare goodies to delicious spices and marinades, and even homemade teas. All of the farm’s products are made seasonally – and the four seasonal subscription boxes each feature a selection of the latest creations, across food and drink, natural health and beauty, homewares and garden. It’s important to the farm to limit stock quantities and remain mindful of energy use and waste, so everything is produced in small batches. A limited edition box filed with limited edition products – what’s not to like?
Beyond the hype of limited edition, Trill Farm’s motives are laudable: “We believe that food, through all stages of its evolution, lies at the very heart of life and we work to celebrate and reaffirm the connection between humanity, the animal kingdom and the nature which sustains us all.” And the price for all this goodness? £75 for one box, or get all four for £275. Each box has a curated seasonal selection of 12 or so products, so it’s actually a bit of a steal.
With treats including delicate elderflower cordial, living salads, sumptuous summer body balm, a citronella candle and homemade BBQ sauce, the Summer Box was an ode to life outdoors. Autumn? Well you’ll have to wait and see! Last year’s Autumn Box included a hazelnut spice mix, juicy bramble jam, mellow autumn tea, revitalising body wash and a homegrown pumpkin. A seasonal celebration of the land, the exact contents of each box always remains a surprise – which, if you ask us, is incentive enough to order one…
Order the Autumn Box by 2nd October (delivery October 7th) and the Winter Box is delivered 16th December. To place an order, see the Trill Farm website.
