On the spring/summer catwalks and the summertime streets, the trend for baring acres of flesh is well and truly in force. DSquared2’s short shorts and the daring jumpsuits modelled by Fearne Cotton and co over the last few weeks demonstrate the need for picture perfect pins and glowing skin. RIH has rounded up our favourite products to show off your body this season; don’t hit the streets without them!
Pretty Polly Love Legs Bronzed Leg Gloss Stick
This must be one of RIH’s all time favourites, perfect for tanning in a hurry. The lightly tinted shimmer evens out imperfections and skin tone, to create smoother looking limbs. Apply all over the legs, or as a highlighter on your calves for sexy pins. The easy to use stick means no messing around with time consuming fake tan.

A whole lot more than just a moisturiser, this is described by Mac as the “ultimate quick-fix for skin”. Everything but the kitchen sink is packed into this product: potent botanicals, vitamins, green tea, antioxidants all club together to de-stress, moisten and brighten dull winter skin. This is great for all over use on the body, and on the face; simply mix with your foundation or use as a base for makeup. Used backstage at all the top runway shows to create that model sheen, if it’s good enough for Gisele, it’s good enough for us!
Available at the MAC shop online.
Soap and Glory Glow Lotion
This cult classic brand provides a lot of product for your pennies, and their glow lotion is one of their most popular. A moisturiser and highlighter topped off with a delicious fragrance, it’s the ultimate do-it-all product. Apply the body milk texture to shoulders, neck and décolletage for just the right hint of shimmer. The strawberry, mandarin and vanilla fragrance is gorgeous too.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Body Oil Spray
Did anyone else see the photos of a resplendent Gwyneth Paltrow showing off super shiny stems a couple of weeks back? The press went crazy. Is this a new trend or simply a case of an over-zealous make-up artist applying way too much moisturiser? Well, love it or hate it, wet look skin seems to be set to make a big comeback. The 80’s beach bunny slathered in oil look is not what you’re aiming for here though. A quick spritz of this dry oil spray from Estee Lauder achieves the appearance of toned, tanned and healthy looking skin, without looking like you’re channelling female Chippendale. The bottle is also pretty divine.
Available at Estee Lauder online.
Treat this product as a foundation for the body. It’s a subtle fake tan that also does wonders for covering up any blemishes or unsightly tan lines. Apply with a glove to prevent tell-tale orange hands, and apply all over for a sexy summer glow. Best of all, unlike other cheaper bottled tans, this one doesn’t streak.
