While we’ve enjoyed the freedom and casual nonchalance that summer dressing brings, we can’t pretend that we’re not busy planning our autumn wardrobe must-haves. Selecting these pinnacle pieces is never easy, but we’ve adopted the mantra of ‘luxe and exclusive elegance’ and have decided to carry forward some of the colourful prints and textures that we saw in abundance this summer. Here are our favourite new season pieces – key designer additions to ease you into the colder months, and totally exclusive to Liberty.

Our womenswear favourites this season? Let’s start with Rick Owens and Reinhard Plank. We’re also excited to be stocking a selection of new designers including pieces from the Calvin Klein Collection; their range of spacious leather tote bags with metallic hardware have a minimal yet luxurious aesthetic that fits well with this season’s themes. Lana Siberie returns for A/W ’14 with a modern take on oversized knitwear featuring her signature multi-tonal knits in autumnal shards. Our edit also features Emiliano Rinaldi with his considered use of patterned knits and soft silks; luxe fabrication is an understatement.

Shrimps’ long-awaited second collection has just arrived, and the light blue Dulcie coat is what your winter wardrobe has been waiting for. We spotted these androgynous wool flannel culottes in Rejina’s showroom – aren’t they beautiful? Pair with Phillip Lim’s fantastic Berlin sandals, which are just the perfect heel height for running about in too… Accessories-wise, we really bought into Alexander Wang’s mock croc story this season; his deep claret envelope bag is a must-have for A/W 2014. And if you’re someone who likes their jewellery elegant and understated, we’re sure you’ll love Geoffrey’s discreet, highly precious designs.

The temperatures are slowly dropping which means it’s the time of year when it’s acceptable to go mad in the shops updating our wardrobes for winter. It’s a trait that’s been instilled in us since our school years, stocking up on shiny new shoes, cosy winter knits and chic stationery, so why let it stop there? From exciting emerging designers including J.Won, Wendee Ou and Claire Andrew, these are our favourite pieces arriving at Wolf & Badger this season.

Start the new season by investing in a new jacket: Aries’ modern take on the biker features dropped shoulders and recycled zippers, plus it’s made from the most luxe of leathers. Pair with a new take on the white shirt – we love this sculptural take on the style staple by LFW’s new star, Regina Pyo. We’re all about supporting new British talent, and two names to watch this season are jewellery designer Lily Kamper and model-turned-maker Danielle Foster. And of course – let’s not forget some shiny new stamps for A/W ’14, these Joanne Stoker x Eudon Choi loafers work with every new season look.

If we were to invest in one statement piece this season, we’d make it Ted Baker’s beautiful floral cape. Or if you’re all about the show-stopping shoes, we’re pretty sure you won’t be able to resist Nine West’s elegant leopard print heels – perfect for date night or an evening of cocktails with the girls. Everyone needs a beautifully-cut leather jacket and we are in love with Oui’s metallic-trimmed number which adds a casual edge to workwear or dresses up boyfriend jeans. Last but not least, never underestimate the power of bold accessories; Mary Portas’ plaited necklace makes an impact however you style it.
