I don’t want to come across all Bugs Bunny, although at the moment, I can’t get enough of carrots. That’s because I am slathering them and their antioxidant properties over my skin, courtesy of the Organic Pharmacy’s Carrot Butter Cleanser.
Whilst I try to recycle, I try to eat healthily and I try to think about polar bears every time I lust after exotic, far-flung holidays, sometimes it’s incredibly hard. So I love it when a favourite product has the added bonus of being natural, and even more so when it’s organic.
The Organic Pharmacy’s Carrot Butter Cleanser is full of natural ingredients with impressive credentials: Antioxidant carrot (of course), smoothing Shea and Cocoa butter and soothing Chamomile, Rosemary and Lavender. What’s even better is that they actually work. There’s a lot of skepticism about whether natural products can have the same results as chemicals, and while I can’t speak for the entire beauty canon, this cleanser is pretty much one of the best I’ve tried – and I’m a product junkie.
Although I don’t use foundation, I do wear quite a lot of dark, heavy eye make-up (My name is Lauren, and I am a reformed teenage indie kid), which can be difficult to remove. This is one of the only cleansers that effectively gets stubborn make-up to disappear faster than you can say David Blaine. It does leave some dark smudges on the muslin cloth; a small price to pay for quick, effective cleansing, which frankly is what we’re all after. The cleanser has a waxy texture, a herby smell, and comes with a little spatula in order to keep it germ free. Massage it into your skin, and then rinse off with a muslin cloth soaked in warm water. Easy.
